Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in Chicago will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in Illinois usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.

Hours are published for 4 days a week. The most common schedule is 5–9:30 pm. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (312) 877-5016. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is jeongchicago.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 408 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded restaurants in Chicago.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Chicago is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Illinois's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We celebrated my mom’s birthday here, and I honestly couldn’t have imagined a more special way to spend the evening. Two hours flew byβ€”it felt like we had just sat down. Every moment was so thoughtfully curated, from the pacing of the meal to the warmth of the hospitality and the incredible attention to detail in every dish. It’s such an intimate dining experience that encourages you to slow down, be present, and savor every course. Jennifer Tran, Dave Park, and their entire team are truly incredible. Their passion, creativity, and genuine care shine through in every aspect of the experience. It wasn’t just dinnerβ€”it was a memory we’ll be talking about for a long time.

Jeong was such a beautiful dining experience from start to finish. The care and attention put into every dish was so evident, especially in the kimchi preparations throughout the meal. Each one tasted incredibly fresh, crisp, and balanced β€” flavorful without being overly marinated or overpowering. You could really appreciate the thoughtfulness and quality behind each dish. Jen, the owner, was also an exceptional host. She took the time to explain each dish with such clarity, warmth, and genuine passion, which made the experience feel even more special and personal. The staff was equally attentive, kind, and welcoming throughout the evening. What I appreciated most about Jeong was how refined and elevated everything felt while still remaining warm, grounded, and intentional. It’s the kind of place where you can truly feel the heart behind the food and hospitality. Such a memorable experience, and one I would absolutely recommend when visiting Chicago.

While in Chicago for the NRA (restaurant) show, we sought after local and starred restaurants. My colleague found Jeong. I had the pleasure meeting Chef Dave Park and his partner Jen Tran at the restaurant. They offer a seasonal 8 course tasting menu that can be paired with wine. Each course was an amazing culinary journey into Korean flavors, both familiar and wanting more, which made it much more enjoyable. My favorites, the sea bream and the scallops. But everything tasted delicious and beautifully plated. Thank you Chef and Jen for an amazing dining experience and for your warm hospitality.

I’ve celebrated two of my birthdays here, and both times were amazing. The food is always fresh and delicious, and every guest I brought absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is friendly, and the service is consistently great. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants! 🀍

This Korean prefix course is an absolute must-try! The chef has a super creative way of using traditional elements and taking the dish to the next level. It’s so visually appealing and delicious, and the texture was unbelievable. They also added this new dish called Octopus-Kkandpungi last week, and it’s hands down the best thing I’ve ever had in a few years! Scallop dish was also cooked to perfection, but what set it apart from other dishes from Michelin-starred restaurants was the small spinach + trout roe piece that came with it. Strongly recommend trying it with a wine pairing!
